Thames Valley proved too strong for Horowhenua - Kapiti yesterday to win 36 - 5 at home in front of a very good crowd. The Swampfoxes backed up last weeks performance with some exciting back play as well as strong forward play starting when Jimmy Horsford made a break up the wing and then disposed an over the shoulder pass to Aaron McDoonald for a well worked try under the posts. The dominance continued throughout the first half resulting in a 26 - 0 lead at halftime. The Swampfoxes scored a try early in the second half to get their second bonus point in two weeks and now lead the Heartland championship competition with a maximum 10 out 10 points.
The big test will come next week when they host perenial title contenders Wanganui at Paeroa Domain. With the Secondary School finals also on this day, it should be a fantastic day for rugby followers. Make sure as many supporters turn up next week.
