The Hauraki Plains College 1st XV continue to set the pace in the Secondary Schools 1st XV Competition having won all 5 of their games in convincing fashion and remain on top of the table with a maximum 25 points. Thames have moved into 2nd place after their win over Mercury Bay with Waihi having had the weekend off. The big movers though are Paeroa College who have gone from 6th to 4th after their convincing win over the Hauraki Plains College 2nd XV.
In the Development Grade it's the Thames HS team that are setting the pace with another convincing win making it 4 bonus point wins out of 4 so far this season. However they are being closely chased by Waihi and the Hauraki Plains College East team with the Hauraki Plains College West team rounding out the top 4.
The Paeroa and Waihi 4th Grade teams have also had 100% records so far this season having won all of their games with bonus points but they are being closely followed by a Thames team who have shown great improvement over the past couple of wekks and a Hauraki Plains side who are chipping away in the background. There is a big game this Wednesday with the HPC and Waihi 4th Grade teams squaring off.
