After a long season the age grade representative programme came to a close at thne completion of the NRM Northern Roller Mills Tournament on the 15th October in Thames.
Here is a summary of the teams for the season.
Thames Valley U18's
Played 5, Won 3, Lost 2
Competing in the Northern Regions Under 18B Competition the Thames Valley team had good wins over Northland Vikings, King Country and an impressive win over North Harbour Away. This meant that they finished 3rd overall in the competition.
Thames Valley Under 16's
Played 5, Won 1, Lost 4
Playing in a tough Northern Regions competition against ITM cup provinces (with the exception of King Country) the Thames Valley Under 16 team equipped themselves well throughout the 5 games. There one notable performance was against King Country where they won 25 - 17 with the team eventually finishing 5th overall.
Roller Mills
Played 5, Lost 5
This tournament is getting tougher and tougher every year and 2011 was no exception. Even with home advantage the Thames Valley Roller Mills team unfortunately could not muster up a win with their closest game being a gut wrenching last minute loss to King Country 17 - 18.
